Our Mission

RBDallas, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization that preserves and promotes the African American life, history, artifacts, and culture of Dallas and its surrounding cities. We offer genealogical research, educational presentations, heritage tours, and more.

Our Work

Remembering Black Dallas, Inc. undertakes work all across our Dallas and the metroplex community. Our projects include administering scholarships for high school, offer tours that emphasize Dallas' vibrant African American historic and present communities, and applying for State Historic Markers.

Remembering Black Dallas' Founder and Executive Director Dr. George Keaton, Jr. has skillfully combined his knowledge of local history and creative talents to produce a magnificent plethora of little-known local people and the history of Dallas. This play's debut will cover a period of over a hundred years of the unique Dallas history, and celebrate the birth of the new National Juneteenth holiday coupled with tears, humor, and laughter.
